This collection consists of scrapbooks, photographs, programs, and other material relating to the William and Mary Choir at the College of William and Mary. Some of the records included in this collection pertain to the Women's Chorus and the Botetourt Chamber Singers, an a capella student organization at the College of William and Mary. The scrapbooks contain clippings, programs, and photographs of performances and other activities by the group during the academic year. A few of the scrapbooks document the William and Mary Choir's trips to Europe over the summer break. The collection also includes photographs of choir members rehearsing, sites they visited while traveling to various venues, and other activities. A poster of photographs of the William and Mary Choir performing at the Presidential Inauguration for Bill Clinton in January 1997 is also included.

This collection encompasses the records of the organization William and Mary Gay and Lesbian Alumni/ae (GALA) founded in 1986. Materials in the collection date from before the organization's founding to the present, with the majority of the material covering the years 1986 through 1992. The earliest records were maintained and created by Stephen Snell and George Greenia. The major issues covered include the founding of the organization, initial battles for recognition by the William and Mary Alumni Association, the fight to have sexual orientation added to the university's non-discrimination policy, and the suit to have anti-homosexual language removed from the state of Virginia's policies on liquor licensing. The records were collected by William and Mary GALA founder and first president Stephen Snell, Professor George Greenia, presidents Steve Murden, Wayne Curtis, Frank Edwards, and others. Included in the collection are fliers, correspondence, education materials, news clippings, and organizational papers. Due to the multiple creators associated with the collection, the same documents can be found in multiple series and folders within the collection. For instance, notices about events and correspondence may be found in a general chronological folder as well as a folder about a specific event or topic.

This series contains photographs and programs that were used by Howard Scammon in his book The William and Mary Theatre: 50 Years; layout sheets for the final copy and cover; correspondence; pre-publication material about fundraising; photocopy of a typed draft of the book.

This collection contains administrative records, fliers, awards, scrapbooks and other material related to the Young Democrats, a political student organization at the College of William and Mary. Included in the records are fliers and handbooks for the Virginia Young Democrats (VAYD) Convention held at the College in April 2011; fliers for events hosted by the Young Democrats; scrapbooks containing photographs of events held by the organization from 2006-2012; and campaign literature for local, state, and national elections. The papers of William "Bill" Archer, newspaper journalist for the Bluefield Daily Telegraph and historian, document Archer's research and reporting of events in Southern West Virginia, predominantly Mercer and McDowell Counties. In addition to his reporting, Archer wrote a number of local history books as well as articles for publications other than the Bluefield paper.

The William Ross Schermerhorn papers contains materials that document the personal and professional career of William Ross Schermerhorn. Papers primarily document Schermerhorn's work for Macys as well as Colonial Williamsburg. Notes and material on his involvement in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks shows, and other creative endeavors he undertook as Vice President for Macys Parade and Creative Director at Colonial Williamsburg are included. In addition, the collection contains projects he completed for Disney as well as numerous other productions, musicals and sheet music. The papers also contains photographs of his time at Macy's and Audio/ Visual material from his productions. Artifacts, pins and badges present in the collection relate to his time in New York City.
