Background

Scope and content:

This collection contains administrative records, fliers, awards, scrapbooks and other material related to the Young Democrats, a political student organization at the College of William and Mary. Included in the records are fliers and handbooks for the Virginia Young Democrats (VAYD) Convention held at the College in April 2011; fliers for events hosted by the Young Democrats; scrapbooks containing photographs of events held by the organization from 2006-2012; and campaign literature for local, state, and national elections. Acquisition information:
Various gifts. Acc. 2011.289 was hand delivered to the SCRC by the donor on 5/11/2011. Acquisition information for material received after 7/13/2009 is available by consulting a Special Collections Research Center staff member.

A portion of this collection was previously part of the University Archives Publications Collection and then subsequently the Student Organizations Collection before being separated 5/2011 to form its own collection.
