William and Mary Coat of Arms High Heels

Scope and content:

One pair of yellow pumps with tan interior. The pumps have the William and Mary coat of arms painted in green on the lower right side of the right pump and the lower left side of the left pump. The shoes were made by the Brash brand, but customized by Caitlyn Darnell, Class of 2013 for Commencement. Ms. Darnell wore the shoes to her department's diploma presentation ceremony. The shoes are a size 8 and are in good condition with a 1in. abrasion on the right pump (b) near the painted seal and a 0.125in. loose thread on the right seam above the painted seal. There is also wear on the toe of the right pump and a 7in. yellow stain on the sole of the pump as well as yellow chipping where the sole and the pump meet. There is a 1.125in. abrasion on the toe of the left pump (a) 1.25in. away from the painted seal. There is a 2.5in. dirt and rock stain on the sole of the pump as well as yellow chipping along the edge where the sole and the pump meet. Gift of Caitlyn Darnell, Class of 2013. UA 2013.250.01
