- Abstract:
- Two typescript narrative histories of West Virginia towns compiled and apparently written by W.B. Haught in 1920. A 76-page narrative history of Monongalia County, West Virginia, chiefly covers the Colonial period, beginning with the Huron Iroquois inhabiting the land in the early 1700s and continuing through the late 1800s. A second typescript centers on the history of Blacksville, West Virginia, from its Colonial beginnings in the 1770s to the end of the nineteenth century. This item contains a brief narrative history of the town as well as information about land lots, church records, and marriage and funeral records. Both documents are photocopies
