This collection consists of 10 items pertaining to the medical career of Edwin A. Gibbs. The papers include student's tickets for admission to classes held at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Baltimore, Maryland, tickets for post-graduate classes, and a resolution of sympathy from colleagues following Gibbs' death in 1898.

Biographical / historical:

Edwin Augustus Gibbs was born in 1857 in Lexington, Virginia. He graduated from VMI in 1877 and went on to become a physician. Gibbs died in 1898 in Washington, D.C.
