A finely fluted border frame the picture (handwritten), while on the [nephrite scratched out] jade (handwritten) margin green gold festoons are attached to reddish gold rosettes. A superb example of the fastidious workmanship lavished upon the small creations of Carl Faberge, celebrated court Jeweler to the Court of Russia. This example aptly illustrates Faberge's unique use of the rare semi-precious stons [sic] which were found in the Russian Impire [sic].
