Transcription: [double-headed eagle] The Schaffer Collection of Russian Imperial Art Treasures ROCKEFELLER CENTER, NEW YORK December 1, 1936 #1075 Circular gold picture frame of the most exquisite and delicate workmanship, chased with a shimmering guilloche pattern and enameled rich translucent amethyst. The circular opening is bordered with pearls, while the outside is finely chased with a wreath design executed in two shades of gold. The back is paneled with ivory. It is in the original case and is signed by "Carl G. Fabergé", the famous jeweler to the Imperial Court of Russia. From the Alexander Palace at Tsarskoye Selo.
