This series consists of an accession of records (RG 204-79) from the office of the Virginia Law Weekly that contains the Virginia Law Weekly Constitution (1960); a prospectus written by the first editor, Edgar Jones in August 1948; 318 photographs; contact sheets and negatives; and letters from Virginia Law Weekly alums.

Series 3: Account Books, 1916-1974, contains: Interline Freight Balances; Car Services Balances; Amounts Due From and To Foreign Companies on Interline Freight Accounts; Operating Expenses and REvenues and other information including shops, engine house, bridges, agents, conductors, donations, etc.; Per Diem Reclaim Records, 1952-1973; Income Statements, 1968-1971; Records of Vouchers Released, 1955-1967; Freight Car Hires, 1943-1975, summarizing car hire, passenger and freight car mileage; and Miscellaneous accounts, 1934-1951, containing detailed information of topics organized chronologically and categorically under the following headings: Operating Revenues, Freight Revenues, Rent from Locomotives, Miscellaneous Income, Maintenance, Transportation Improvements, and Statements for Depreciation for railway structures. Balance in Interline Freight Accounts, 1932-1935, lists date, items, folio number, and debits with yearly balances, organized alphabetically by account name. Car Services Balance Books, 1944-1971, record balance and payment information for interline car service accounts. Record of Amounts Due From and To Foreign Companies on Interline Freight Accounts Journals, 1930-1944, comprise both operating expenses and revenues as well as other information.

Includes two 33 1/3 rpm recordings from United China Relief which include talks by Pearl S. Buck and Wendell Willkie among others (1941?), and a cachet for a first day cover (1982).

This series documents the life of William E. "Ned" Chilton, III, member of a prominent Charleston family which has managed the Charleston Gazette since the late nineteenth century. The majority of this collection consists of letters received by Chilton that discuss family matters, the business of the Charleston Gazette, social and political issues, and current events of the time.

This series includes the papers, photographs, and glass plate negatives from Morgantown, WV and Williamson, WV construction projects, stockholders ledgers, and various business correspondence. Items of interest include a capital stock certificate book and blueprints of the Pietro Castle.

This series includes biographical information of Thoney Pietro, newspaper clippings, photographs, papers relating to the bust of Dante Aligheri donated by Pietro to the West Virginia University library, and material related to the Pietro Castle.
