This addendum contains materials Kemp collected, worked on, and produced, which date between 1768-2014. Items of interest include materials on early oil drilling and Kemp's trip to Canada, Fairbank Oil and the Canadian Oil Museum; materials on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, suspension bridges in France, the United Kingdom and the United States; mixed materials from his work on West Virginia covered bridges; paper on "Marc Seguin and the origins of the Modern Long Span Wire Suspension Bridge"; old postcards of United States and French suspension bridges and of West Virginia covered bridges; materials about King's Covered Bridge; the Wheeling Suspension Bridge and Independence Hall; an engineering paper on covered bridge restoration; mixed materials on the restoration of both Philippi and Barrackville Covered Bridges; materials from chapters of Kemp's book Essays on the History of Transportation and Technology; original documents and drawings from Bull Creek Bridge ca. 1855; a Mason-Dixon Line Map facsimile ca. 1768; The General Advertiser (Philadelphia) May 6, 1797. Also includes photos of West Virginia locks and dams, West Virginia covered bridges, Baltimore and Ohio Railroad stations/roundhouses, early West Virginia oil wells, old farm buildings, locks and dams, suspension bridges, etc.

This series includes typescripts, correspondence, clippings, genealogies, maps, ephemera, pamphlets, articles, photographs, and other material.

Contains material regarding the historical and genealogical research performed by W. Guy Tetrick and others. Family histories compose the majority of the material within this series. Other material within the series includes correspondence, notebooks of information organized by county, West Virginia newspapers and news clippings, miscellaneous publications, posters, and material regarding W. Guy Tetrick, including letters and financial information.

This series includes eleven subseries which highlight Bickley's research on black history in West Virginia and to a smaller extent black history in general. The subseries include her work on black history for many West Virginia counties with her research being more extensive for Cabell, Jefferson, and Kanawha Counties which have their own subseries. The subseries for Research Notes and Collected Papers are: General, Biography; Cabell County, WV; Jefferson County, WV; Kanawha County, WV; Other WV Counties; Churches, Education; General; Organizations; Slavery; and the Underground Railroad.

This series consists of the correspondence of the Breckinridge, Gamble, and Watts families, ca.1794-1850, but chiefly that of Mary Scott Watts Gamble (1814-1840)daughter of General Edward Watts. The name has been changed to Watts family papers as of March 2023. There are many related collections of the Watts family papers.
