Fredericksburg (Va.) Business Records, 1782-1902, are comprised of various records created by individuals and companies in pursuit of documenting business activities in and around Fredericksburg (Va.) Represented records consist of bound volumes such as daybooks, ledgers, account books, a memorandum book and minute books.

Fredericksburg (Va.) Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Minutes, 1891-1892. The minutes document the founding of the Chamber, the organization of committees, and efforts to lobby the state legislature and U.S. Congress. Topics discussed include railroads, street railroads, and improvements to the river in Fredericksburg. The minute book also contains a newspaper clipping with a transcript of minutes documenting the organization of the Chamber.

Fredericksburg (Va.) Court Records, 1830. The collection contains three documents removed from Fredericksburg court records, as follows: a notice to take affidavits for the Fredericksburg Superior Court of Chancery case Richard Cave, etc. vs. Executors of William Porter; a wrapper from an order of publication from the case Porter vs. Porter, and an envelope addressed to James Chapman, one of the witnesses in the Cave vs. Executors of Porter case.

Fredericksburg (Va.) Minute Book, 1809-1813, records all matters brought before the court on a daily basis when it was in session including but not limited to: civil and criminal suits, appointments of county officers, appointments of guardians and administrators, deed recordings, free negro registrations, naturalization registrations, and court fees. Clerks would transfer information from minute books to appropriate order book, deed book, fiduciary book, free negro register, etc.

Fredericksburg (Va.) School Records, 1853-1907, are comprised of a ledger of the School Fund of the Corporation of Fredericksburg, 1853-1860; minutes of the School Trustees, 1878-1884, and a ledger of the School Board, 1895-1907.

Spotsylvania County (Va.) Abatements and Dismissions, 1809-1870, consist of court suits heard in the Superior Court of Law, Circuit Superior Court of Law and Chancery, and Circuit Court that were disposed of without trial of the issues involved, predominantly debt. The suits were dismissed either voluntarily by the parties involved or involuntarily by the court.
