These papers document the related Scott, Bassett, Blackley, Hoge, Matthews, and Nix families of Texas and Staunton, Virginia.

Collection of letters and documents of the Braun and Jung families from the 19th and 20th centuries. The earliest documents are a prenuptial agreement, dowry agreement, and will from the middle 1800's (photocopies). The documents are in German, but an English translation accompanies most items. The collection includes a "Familien Stammbuch" or family genealogy book along with two ancestry passports for Gunter Braun and Ernst Jung. They were used to prove familial background in Nazi Germany.

Scrapbooks, correspondence, business papers, and memorabilia of a prominent Charleston family that were long time owners of the Charleston Gazette. There are papers of W. E. Chilton, Sr., and for his son and grandson, W. E. Chilton, Jr. and W. E. Chilton, III. The papers of Chilton senior include some correspondence, but mostly land papers documenting the coal mining district in Webster and Braxton Counties. There are also scrapbooks, and contracts pertaining to the family newspaper business; and volumes on the education of W. E. Chilton, Jr. at Woodberry, VA Forest School, and at Yale. The military service of the Chiltons is documented by the service papers, photographs, and other material for W. E. Chilton, Jr. and W. E. Chilton, III in World War (WWI) I and World War II (WWII) respectively.

The University Archives Audiovisual Collection is an artificial collection of various audio and visual formats documenting the College of William and Mary campus, events, people, etc. The collection contains analog, magnetic, and digital media and while not comprehensive, it does include material from a variety of time periods and types of events including commencements, Charter Day, building dedications, lecture series, Raft Debates, visiting scholars and distinguished guests, athletic events, and much more. Researchers are encouraged to verify with staff the format of individual items and availability for immediate use. Many items in the collection will require preservation reformatting before they can be used.
