An extensive collection of business correspondence, financial papers, daybooks, legal papers, and account books, chiefly 1800-1850, of Col. Daniel Philippe Aunspaugh, documenting his work as tanner and justice of the peace at Bedford County, Va. The collection also includes accounts, 1832-1857, of James Oney.

Concern farm labor and accounts as an administrator, executor (either by himself or in conjunction with others) or guardian of others which include members of the Stickley family. The volumes have unusual covers of patterned paper, and marbled paper. One cover is another book, "A Course of Book-keeping" used by William S. Newett, Pleasant Green Schoolhouse, Shenandoah County, Va. and one bears a label, Regensburg, Germany.

Ledger, 1850-1856, of Daniel Wright, miller [Berkeley County, Va.] [W. Va.] which contains grist mill accounts.

This collection contains three ledgers: Leonidas Willson Irwin's spiritual diary, 1887-1937; D.C. Irwin's pastor's register, 1869-c.1881; D.C. Irwin's account book, 1895-96.

The volume includes abstracts of duties on licences granted for distilleries; duties on retailers of wine, liquors and foreign merchandise; duties on sales at auction; and duties on carriages.
