This collection consists of a single cashbook maintained by David F. Cushing. The book documents Cushing's personal financial income and expenditures, listing cash received, paid, and lent. Included is a transaction (January 20, 1853) in which Cushing purchased a copy of Uncle Tom's Cabin.
