Scope and content:

Papers of Barbara Bircher (1930-2010; nee Barbara Jean Clear) of Westover, WV. Includes family photographs (including portraits, group portraits, and candid shots), two reels of motion picture film ("4 July 1974" and unidentified), genealogy material regarding the Bircher, Clare, and Clear families, clippings, two audio recordings (vinyl discs), and other material.

Box 1 folder 21 contains the two vinyl discs, including "Steel Mill Blues" performed by Mike Pickering, 1982; and "Coal Miners for Boyle Titler Owens" with message on label reading "Yablonski says elect Tony Boyle," undated.

Box 1 folder 27 and box 2 folder 2 contain the material regarding Morgantown High School and the class reunion of 1948.

Box 1 folder 28 includes sheet music of a piano piece entitled "The Toe Dancer" by Ralph Federer with inscription by the composer and performance markings, geneaological information regarding the Joseph B. Bixler family, and other material.

Barbara was the second wife of Donald Bircher (1927-1983) and the daughter of E. Ralph and Mildred Clear.
