This collection is minimally processed.

Collection includes records pertaining to the work done by the Librarian Status Committee and associated committees. The Librarian Status Committee worked to create a document to govern appointment and promotion of librarians once they attained faculty rank (ca. 1985-1986). Librarians had been advocating to join Faculty Senate since at least 1978. Also included are some records of the work of the Initial Appointment and Promotion Commitee (ca. 1987-1988) and all or most of the versions of the librarians' criteria document for faculty appointment and promotion.
