Background

Scope and content:

Court case papers, 1786-1908, and record books, 1804-1903. Collection also contains poor claims, county claims, delinquent road lists, county road and bridge petitions, Justice's reports, election certificates, road claims, birth reports, appraisements and bills of sale, Board of Education reports, abstracts of Judgements, oaths of county and district officer, bond records, administrator accounts, and surveyor appointments and road cases. A chronological index to the case papers is available. Part of the collection is unindexed.
