Records of the News Service Department, West Virginia University. Includes photographs and Media Notebooks documenting news and public relations activities of West Virginia University. This collection is minimally processed.

Series:

Photograph Files, ca. 1980-2005, Boxes 1-3. Includes photographic prints of West Virginia University related news stories, many of which are arranged by topic. Most topical files regard activities of University departments, and most of the photos are identified.

Departments documented include: Cancer Center, Creative Arts, Dentistry, Health Sciences Center, Hospital, Journalism, Law School, Libraries, Medical School, and Social Justice, among others. Subjects documented include: Alumni Association, Faculty Senate, Homecoming, Mountaineer Mascot (2001), Mountainlair, and the PRT (Personal Rapid Transit), among others.
