Scope and content:

Correspondence of Dr. Israel C. White, 1904-1906, mainly concerning his activities as chief of the Brazilian Coal Commission; includes various coal analysis reports and a report on the fossil plant materials collection made in Brazil by Dr. White and Dr. Sexias; manuscript and typescript of "Notes of Explorations in Brazil"; and a passport issued to Dr. White signed by John Hay, 1904.
