Correspondence, newspapers, and newspaper clippings concerning the service records of West Virginia University students, former students, and alumni collected by Dean C. R. Jones for the compilation of the University Honor Roll. Also several bulletins, pamphlets, and circulars on the war activities of various university and veteran's hospitals, including: West Virginia Wesleyan, Shepherd College, University of Arizona, University of Cincinnati, Iowa State College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts, and U.S. Army Hospital No. 17 at Markleton, Pennsylvania. One brochure regarding Lt. Darwin Berry and one memorial address on the life and Character of Roy Earl Parrish.
Collection also includes geological information on the DeHaven, Hardin, Kincheloe, Pennypacker, Waters, and Wickliffe families. Collection also contains material related to Thomas P. Wilgus.
