The collection consists of five flour bags stamped with DeBord Mills on the cover.

DeBord Mill, located in Rural Retreat, Virginia was owned and operated by Joseph Byron DeBord (1921-1964) and his wife Martha Brown DeBord. DeBord also had a mill in Johnson City, Tennessee circa 1930s and a farm in Rural Retreat, Virginia. DeBord died on 11 September 1964 from wounds suffered in a farming machine accident. He was born on 28 July 1921 and married Martha Brown in 1948. The actual start date and end date of the mill's operation is not known.
