This collection consists of poem, "The Angry Pullet," by Helen S. Sayers, written on 8 May 1881. Also included are three letters. An October 1910 letter written by Garnett B. Lawson to Helen Sayers, Wytheville, Virginia invites her to visit. A 21 March 1912 letter, written by Nell Sayers, Tucson, Arizona, to her sister Susan Sayers Moorman in Wytheville, mentions her concern about the capture of the Allen family members who were involved in the Hillsville shooting, tuberculosis of Fanny Barnitz and a friend, Willie Withers. She also writes about her hosts in Arizona, Mr. and Mrs. Parkingson and summer boarders in Wytheville. An undated letter from Susan Sayers Moorman to an unknown recipient completes this collection.
