The G. L. Armbrister Burial Permit Records consists of one volume of typescript transcriptions of burial permits recorded by undertaker and general store merchant G. L. Armbrister of Max Meadows, Virginia from 1912 to 1938. The transcriptions are arranged alphabetically and consist of 37 pages. Information for each burial usually includes name of deceased, date of death, age at time of death, cemetery where buried, cause of death, and sex of deceased. Other information given for some persons may include name of father and mother, date of birth, place of birth, place of death, name of spouse, occupation, and military status.
