Account Book II covers July 1920 through May 1921 and is 548 numbered pages, and three unnumbered pages, excluding the index. Account Book III covers March 1922 through December 1922 and has 548 numbered pages and three unnumbered pages, excluding the index.

Biographical / historical:

Jacob H. Nelson, a charter member of the Max Meadows Chamber of Commerce, owned the Max Meadows Grocery during the early twentieth century. Nelson also worked as a foreman for the Virginia Iron, Coal, and Coke Company. He also was a member of the Wythe County Board of Supervisors.
