This collection contains documents from the Episcopal Female Institute of Winchester, Virginia. There are lists of students and teachers, as well as catalogs describing classes and facilities. The collection also includes the minutes of the Board of Directors.
- Biographical / historical:

In 1874 a group of Winchester citizens, under the sponsorship of the Protestant Episcopal Church of the Diocese of Virginia, established the Episcopal Female Institute to provide education to daughters or wards of members of that church. By 1911, the school had closed and all real estate sold.
