This collection contains fliers, reports, and publications from the William and Mary Center for Archeological Research. Also included is information from the Virginia Research Center for Archaeology, the predecessor to the Center for Archaeological Research. An index to the publications from 1988 to 2008 is also available.

The William and Mary Center for Archaeological Research was established in May of 1988 within the Department of Anthropology to provide archaeological research services and applied educational opportunities in cultural resource management. The sponsors for the various projects include both government and private agencies.

A portion of this collection was previously part of the University Archives Publications Collection. One folder that was previously part of the Virginia Research Center for Archaeology Records was transferred to this collection on 2/2/2010.
