Papers maintained by Henry C. Wysor, of Dublin, Virginia, a Civil War veteran turned insurance salesman working for New York Life Insurance Company. Papers include business correspondence, bills, invoices, and receipts. Most of Wysor's correspondence is from life insurance policyholders living and working in southwest Virginia, including Radford, Wytheville, Abingdon, and Pulaski, but also in Bristol, Tennessee. Policyholders include real estate agents and upper-level management employees of coal mining and processing companies.
