Handwritten memoir by Anna Eliza Caroline Partin about her experiences in Petersburg and Richmond, Virginia during the Civil War, particularly the siege of Petersburg. Biographical information on Anna Eliza Caroline Partin, John William Partin, the Bunkley Family and the Ferrebee Family. Copy of picture possibly depicting Anna Eliza Caroline Partin. The biographical and genealogy folders are photocopies of a handwritten scroll.

Biographical / historical:

Lived in and near Petersburg, Virginia during the Civil War. Possibly born in Isle of Wight County, Virginia, daughter of Henry W. Neville. Married to John William Partin. After the Civil War, they lived in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Appraisal information:

The biographical and genealogy scrolls were crumbling and already fragmented when accessioned. After photocopying the original scrolls, they were discarded.
