Background

Scope and content:

Diary, 1965-1969 of Eva M. Mountain (1915-1997) of Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. She described daily chores and social life of herself and her husband Clifton R. Mountain. Eva Mountain worked at the Mayo Regional Hospital and included significant events at the hospital like deaths or births. She frequently mentions her son Stuart Rodney Mountain, who was attending college at Husson College. She also mentions local events and from time to time she comments on national and international occurrences.

Also included are some loose items from the back of the diary, like notes with people's names and addresses and a few newspaper clippings.

Eva M. Mountain (1915-1997) was the wife of Clifton R. Mountain (1912-1996) of Dover, Foxcroft, Maine.
