This collection, ca. 1836-1948, contains approximately 118 items, including records of Susie V. Shepherd. Receipts of William Stephenand Lucy D. Shepherdindicate that William was a farmer who owned land in Goochland, Louisaand Fluvannacounties, Virginia, in the mid-1800s. Of interest are bills from M. S. Hoggardwho acted as both dentist and blacksmith.
