Coreywould sue for libel; says he told reporter that he would comment on it through Shattuck; asks him to inform Associated Press, Hearst Papers, and his own papers that he has an interview concerning the charges in the book; includes news clipping, "Steel Men Set Helicon Hall Fire says Sinclair."]
[Discusses the statement in the August 13, 1914 issue which called him an extreme Socialist and alleged that The Jungleexaggerated conditions; questions the editor's authority for statements; points out that President Theodore Roosevelt's investigating commission published a report continuing his statements.]
