A. E. Hotchner and Sidney Carroll "Playwrights 56" draft script, (typescript)1956, for a television show based on a three-part scenario from short stories of Ernest Hemingway, and .03 cubic feet. This episode was unproduced but the series "Playwrights 56 produced by Fred Coe) ran on the National Broadcasting Company in 1955 for about a year.

Biographical / historical:

A. E. Hotchner and Sidney Carroll draft script for an unproduced episode of the television series "Playwrights 56" produced by Fred Coe and based on stories by Ernest Hemingway. Hotchner and Hemingway were friends and informal business partners.

The show featured small scale dramas, often set in small towns or working class city neighborhoods. Writers included Gore Vidal, Sumner Locke Elliott, and J. P. Miller.
