Biographical / historical:

Charles Shoffner is a photographer living in Albemarle County, Virginia, who specializes in landscape, aerial, and architectural photography. His work has appeared in many books, calendars, and travel publications, as well as in publicity publications for architectural firms. Shoffner's subjects include Virginia natural resources and historic sites.

This collection was given to the University of Virginia Special Collections Library by Bruce B. Galloway, Guardian of Charles C. Shoffner, on October 24, 2013.
Arrangement:

The Charles Shoffner slides have been organized in two series; the first series as subject and topical slides and the second series as University of Virginia slides and related material.

Physical facet:
This collections contains about 19,790 slides and negatives. Also present are three compact disks, Disk 2524-000, Disk 2525-000, and Disk 2526-000.
