This collection, containing an account book of William Massie's, lists personal and family expense items, as well as the names of enslaved persons.

Biographical / historical:

William Massie (1795-1862) was a plantation owner, miller, and enslaver in Nelson County, Virginia. He also served a term in the Virginia legislature.
