The Business Affairs- Building and Facilities Planning Records is a 7 box collection that contains documents related to campus space allocation, building studies, and other materials related to facilities planning of Radford University from 1979-90. Box 1 contains information about space utilization, projections, profiles, analyses, guidelines and distribution with material such as a Space Profile from 1986-1987, Space Analyses from 1972-1980, 1982, 1982-1984 and 1986, and Space Usage and Guidelines from 1972, 1983 and 1986-1987. Box 2 contains individual building information with such documents as a justification for the building of Russell Hall, papers and floor plan for an addition to Preston Hall and Reed Hall proposals for renovation.
Box 3 consists of information on a renovation and facilities utilization of Whitt Hall with documents such as a Statement of Qualifications from 1980 and a Facilities Utilization report from 1964. Box 4 consists of justification and pre planning papers about the Recreation and Convocation Center with preplanning reports form 1987, New Building Justification from the year 1981-1982 and a Justification of an addition to McConnell Library from 1984. Box 5 holds assorted papers such as a Real Estate System Update in 1989, a Class Size study from the same year, housing papers from 1994 and State Council Memos from 1982-1983.
Box 6 contains building, facilities, space and planning for the years 1996-2003 in which public relations papers from 2003-2005 and space and planning papers for the years covered in this box are located. Box 7 holds more building and facilities information such as an institutional Space Profile from 1984 and a Space Inventory of McConnell Library from 1988.
