Carolina land--Mr. Cowper only one who wants land and can pay for it--desires Washington to agree to sell to Cowper because estate of [Fielding Lewis] needs money from sale of lands to pay debts--he leaves for Kentucky next week, and cannot bargain further--has found bill for £50 drawn by executors of Wm. Armistead.
