This brief handwritten note comments on Thomas Wentworth Higginson's 1898 book Cheerful Yesterdays. We believe it was written by Twain, but it is not signed.
- Acquisition information:
- This manuscript note was orginially removed from an 1882 edition of The prince and the pauper: a tale for young people of all ages , which is cataloged separately and housed with Washington and Lee's rare book collection.
