Background

Scope and content:

This genealogical collection of the Youel family of Virginia, originally from Scotland, includes material collected by donor Kenneth Youel, the organizer of Youel reunions. Families included in this collection are Youel, Allen, Anderson, Dudley, Dunlap, Kerr, Kunkle, McCutchan, Hancock, Hopkins, Poage, Berry, George S. Dick, Charles Gordon, Lockridge, William Harrison Bratton, Maggie Annie Gordon Agler, McCampbell, Vanneman, and Zehrung.

Biographical / historical:

Kenneth Youel was a former executive of General Motors and consultant to the State Department and the U. S. Information Agency.
