Scope and content:

This collection contains a handwritten letter from author and WLU alumnus Tom Wolfe (Class of 1951) to WLU alumnus William M. Gottwald (Class of 1970) welcoming him to the Washington and Lee University Board of Trustees, of which Wolfe was a member. Gottwald served as a member of the Board from 1987-1996.
