This collection includes two copies of a photograph taken by Lexington photographer Michael Miley. The images are mounted albumen prints that show a family posed in front of their log cabin with the western slopes of the House Mountains in the background. The photographs were taken by photographer Michael Miley from a ridge along the Midland Trail west of Lexington. The two prints have identical content, though one is a slightly larger than the other. One image is identified by the "M. Miley" blind stamp.

- Physical description:
- One image is in good condition - it has better focus, tonal quality, and less topical grime. The other is in fair condition.
