This collection contains four certificates given to Harry David Irwin by the faculty of Washington and Lee University on June 16, 1886 for proficiency in English Literature, French, Moral Philosophy, and Rhetoric. They are signed by G. W. C. Lee (President), J. L. Campbell (Clerk of the Faculty), and professors H. A. White, J. A. Harrison, and J. B. Taylor.

Harry David Irwin graduated from Washington and Lee University with a B.L. in 1887.
