A three page typescript research paper by V.M.I. cadet Horace M. Dalton, on plant life identified at three historic iron furnace ruins in Rockbridge and Botetourt counties in Virgina. The furnaces subject to the research were Buena Vista Furnace near the confluence of the South River and the Maury River between Lexington and Buena Vista, Virginia; the Glenwood Furnace located in Arnold's Valley, Rockbridge Co.; and the Arcadia or Boyd's Furnace near Arcadia and along Jennings Creek in Botetourt Co.
