Benjamin Huger, Jr. was born on July 10, 1913 and graduated from VMI Class in 1934. He was a descendant of VMI's second Superintendent, Scott Shipp. He was the owner of a family wholesale business in Lexington, Virginia and a World War II veteran. Huger died on September 19, 1988.
