This collection consists primarily of items dating from the United States Air Force career of Lieutenant Colonel Linford B. Bachtell. Included are flight records, log books, certificates, and military orders. The collection also includes snapshots and negatives that date from Bachtell's VMI cadetship.
- Biographical / historical:

Linford Boone Bachtell was born in 1921 in Lexington, Virginia. He graduated from VMI in 1943 and went on to become a Lieutenant Colonel with the United States Air Force. Bachtell died in 1982 in Lexington.
