This collection consists of the papers (7 items) of John M. Luke, including:

  • Four letters of recommendation from VMI Faculty members
  • One letter from VMI Superintendent William H. Cocke to Luke

Biographical / historical:

John Marvin Luke was born in 1880 in Portsmouth, Virginia. He graduated from VMI in 1900. He was a World War I veteran, teacher, and clergyman. Luke died in 1951.
