This collection consists of Martin family correspondence (two items). The first letter (undated, circa 1851) is from 14 year old Hattie to her mother Susan of Winchester, Virginia, written while Hattie was visiting relatives in Lexington, Virginia. The second letter (dated November 5,1851) is from John Ruff to his son-in-law John Martin and relates Lexington news.
