Biographical / historical:

Stewart Wise Anderson was born in 1886 in Portsmouth, Viginia. He graduated VMI in 1908. He was a VMI faculty member from 1911 to 1957 and then Dean of the Faculty from 1941 to 1955. He died in 1970 in Lexington, Virginia.
