This collection consists of one letter (dated August 26, 1887) from Cadet William W. Vest to his cousin. Topics include treatment of new cadets, drill and inspection, and restrictions.

Biographical / historical:

William Waller Vest was born in 1871 in Williamsburg, Virginia. He graduated VMI in 1892, and went on to become a physician in Clarksville, Virginia. Vest died in 1918 in Clarksville.
