The William M. Addison papers consist of items (1928-1946) concerning Addison's activities as a civilian and United States Army chaplain that represented the Christian Science faith. The papers include correspondence with individuals at the London branch of "Christian Science Wartime Activities of the Mother Church," sermons and prayers, monthly reports, and other documents.

William Marlborough Addison was born in 1898 in Ashland, Virginia, and graduated VMI in 1919. He served as a United States Army chaplain in Germany following World War II and then was a businessman. He died in 1986.
