The Venable Family Bible, given to the Hampden-Sydney Library in 1913 by Mrs. John M. Venable, documents the births and deaths of the 14 children born to Nathaniel Venable and his wife Elizabeth Woodson Venable, residents of the Slate Hill Plantation in Prince Edward County, Virginia.
