Edward Irving Vitale was an Italian American symphony violinist and string instrument bow maker. Born in 1886, he was the son of Giuseppe Vitale, a semi-famous Brooklyn violinist, noted Stradivarius violin collector, and violin and bow maker. Vitale lived in Brooklyn, New York in the early half of the 20th century, and appears most active in bow-making - branded under his father's name - during the 1930s. Vitale passed away in 1984. Vitale violins and bows are still available for purchase today.
